The 2025 Annual Town Election in Sterling will take place on May 12, 2025. There are 14 candidates running for 12 positions. There are also two ballot questions related to Proposition 2½.
Positions elected
Select Board
There are three separate elections to the Select Board: two for full three-year terms, and one for a two-year term. This multiple-election system is caused by the Select Board expansion.
Two-year seat
There is a three-way race between Marina Julia Doherty–Meehan, Joseph P. King, Jr., and Patricia Joan Ward for the two-year seat.[1]
Three-year seats
There are two candidates for the two three-year seats: David Smith (incumbent) and Ronald Furmaniuk.[1]
Board of Assessors
Incumbent Richard Alton Sheppard is running unopposed for re-election to a three-year term on the Board of Assessors.[1]
Board of Health
Incumbent Gary C. Menin Sr. is running unopposed for re-election to a three-year term on the Board of Health.[1]
Board of Library Trustees
Alicia Mary McHugh and incumbent Sara J. Petullo are running for the two three-year seats on the Board of Library Trustees up for election.[1]
Constable
Incumbent Nicholas Joesph Finizio is running unopposed for re-election to a three-year term as a constable.[1]
